Shipping policy

At Ergoworks, we aim to deliver every order safely and efficiently. This Shipping Policy explains our delivery arrangements, applicable charges and the responsibilities of Ergoworks and the customer.

DELIVERY CHARGES

Standard delivery within Singapore is free for:

  • In-store purchases of S$500 or more;
  • Online purchases of small items of S$130 or more; and
  • Online purchases of bulky items of S$600 or more.

For orders below these amounts:

  • Small items are subject to a delivery fee of S$10 per delivery location; and
  • Bulky items may be subject to an additional delivery charge.

Additional charges may apply for restricted access, special handling, non-standard delivery arrangements or locations outside our standard delivery scope.

All applicable charges will be communicated before delivery is scheduled.

Non-Lift Access and Staircase Charges

Where a usable lift is unavailable, out of service, too small for the product or cannot be used for delivery:

  • Delivery to Level 2 is complimentary.
  • From Level 3 onwards, a charge of S$30 before GST per additional floor per delivery will apply.
  • For example, delivery to Level 3 is S$30 before GST, while delivery to Level 4 is S$60 before GST.
  • Oversized or exceptionally heavy products may require additional manpower charges, subject to assessment and prior confirmation.

Customers must inform Ergoworks of any non-lift access, staircase delivery or building restrictions before the delivery appointment.

If this information is not provided in advance, delivery may be postponed and additional delivery or re-delivery charges may apply.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

Delivery dates and time slots are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, building restrictions, operational issues or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Ergoworks will make reasonable efforts to meet the scheduled appointment. A reasonable delivery delay does not automatically entitle the customer to cancel the order or claim compensation.

If a delay becomes material, Ergoworks will contact the customer to discuss the available arrangements. Nothing in this Policy limits any right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

DELIVERY ATTEMPTS AND RE-DELIVERY

Ergoworks will make one delivery attempt to the address stated in the order.

A delivery will be considered unsuccessful where it cannot be completed for a customer-related reason, including:

  • The customer or an authorised recipient is unavailable;
  • The delivery address or contact information is incorrect or incomplete;
  • Building or delivery access has not been arranged;
  • The delivery location is inaccessible or unsafe;
  • The product cannot fit through the available access points; or
  • The customer refuses to accept the goods without a valid reason.

A re-delivery fee of S$80 before GST per trip will apply following an unsuccessful customer-related delivery.

Customised, indent or special-order products may not be eligible for cancellation or refund after production, procurement or dispatch has begun.

Inspection of Goods

Customers are required to inspect all goods upon delivery.

Any missing items or visible defects must be reported to Ergoworks within 48 hours of delivery. Claims made after this period may not be accepted.

CUSTOMER DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers must provide complete and accurate delivery information, including:

  • Delivery address and postal code;
  • Current contact details;
  • Building and loading-bay restrictions;
  • Permitted delivery times;
  • Lift-booking requirements;
  • Parking or entry requirements;
  • Access limitations; and
  • Any special requirements for safe delivery or installation.

Failure to provide accurate information may result in delays, waiting charges, re-delivery charges or other reasonable additional costs.

DELIVERY ACCESS AND INSTALLATION

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery and installation location is safe, suitable and accessible.

Before delivery, customers should ensure:

  • Adequate access through entrances, corridors, staircases and lifts;
  • Sufficient space for product placement and installation;
  • Suitable loading or parking arrangements where required;
  • Compliance with the building’s delivery rules;
  • Removal of fragile items and other obstructions; and
  • Sufficient workspace clearance for the safe installation and operation of sit-stand desks.

Ergoworks is not responsible where a product cannot fit through an access point or within the intended installation area because of inaccurate measurements, insufficient clearance or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

Where delivery or installation cannot be completed safely, Ergoworks may stop the work and arrange re-delivery, return or another suitable solution. Additional charges may apply.

Ergoworks will exercise reasonable care during delivery and installation. However, Ergoworks is not responsible for damage caused by insufficient clearance, unsafe access, existing site conditions or placement requested by the customer against our advice.

INSPECTION OF GOODS

Customers should inspect all goods upon delivery or collection.

Missing items, incorrect items, visible defects and visible delivery damage must be reported to Ergoworks within 48 hours of delivery or collection.

The report should include:

  • The order or invoice number;
  • Clear photographs of the item and packaging; and
  • A brief description of the issue.

Reports made after 48 hours may not be accepted where the issue was visible and could reasonably have been identified during the initial inspection.

The 48-hour period does not remove any rights relating to a latent defect that could not reasonably have been identified during the initial inspection.

PAYMENT REQUIREMENT

All orders must be fully paid before delivery unless otherwise agreed by Ergoworks in writing.

Cash on delivery is not accepted.

Any outstanding delivery, storage or service charges must be paid before the applicable delivery or collection appointment.

DISPOSAL OF EXISTING FURNITURE

Disposal service is available for existing products originally purchased from Ergoworks.

Customers must notify their Ergoworks salesperson in advance and obtain confirmation before the delivery appointment so that the necessary arrangements can be made.

Customers should provide details of the product to be disposed of, including its type, quantity and location. Disposal is subject to safe access and operational availability.

Products not purchased from Ergoworks are not covered by this disposal service. If disposal has not been arranged and confirmed in advance, customers remain responsible for removing the existing furniture before delivery.

DELAYED DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HOLDING FEES

Where delivery or collection is delayed for reasons attributable to the customer, Ergoworks may hold fully paid goods for up to 12 months from the original purchase date.

If delivery or collection is not completed within those 12 months, Ergoworks may impose a storage and holding fee of S$80 per year or part thereof.

Ergoworks will provide written notice before imposing the fee. Any applicable storage fee must be paid before the goods are delivered or collected.

Storage is subject to available space and suitable storage conditions. Ergoworks is not responsible for reasonable deterioration in packaging resulting from extended customer-requested storage, provided reasonable care has been exercised.

UNACCEPTED OR UNCOLLECTED GOOD

If goods remain undelivered or uncollected after 12 months from the original purchase date, Ergoworks may issue a final written notice requiring the customer to arrange delivery or collection and pay any outstanding charges.

If the customer does not respond or complete delivery or collection within the period stated in the final notice, Ergoworks may:

  • Cancel the order;
  • Recover reasonable storage and administrative costs;
  • Recover reasonable return or disposal costs; and
  • Dispose of or otherwise deal with the goods, to the extent permitted by law.

Reasonable costs may be deducted from amounts already paid. Any remaining balance will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Customised, indent and special-order products may not be refundable where production or procurement costs have already been incurred.

EVENTS BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL

Ergoworks may delay or cancel an order where performance is prevented by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Material or component shortages;
  • Labour disruptions or industrial disputes;
  • Fire, flood or severe weather;
  • War or civil disturbance;
  • Government action;
  • Failure of essential transport or communication services; or
  • Other events that Ergoworks could not reasonably prevent.

Ergoworks will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers and minimise the delay.

If Ergoworks cancels an order because it cannot be fulfilled, amounts paid for the unfulfilled portion of the order will be refunded without interest.

DELIVERY LIABILITY

Ergoworks and its delivery partners will exercise reasonable care during transportation, delivery and installation.

Customers must report visible delivery damage within 48 hours so that Ergoworks can assess the matter and propose an appropriate solution.

To the extent permitted by law, Ergoworks is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, revenue or business opportunity, arising from a delivery delay or unsuccessful delivery.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
